The Prosperity Gospel, Televangelism and Megachurches...I never heard of these things before...at least not until I stumbled across an infamous interview with Shepherd Bushiri from SABC and with Kenneth Copeland by Lisa Guerrero from Inside Edition.

What ensued there after was a dive into a rabbit hole from lavish lifestyles, to currupt preachers, to cult-ish followings, to claims of miracle healings, and New Thought/New Age concepts. This is... the dark world of megachurches.

The dark site of Mega churches in Africa.
The term “megachurch,” which is commonly used to refer to a church (nearly always Protestant Christian) with a regular attendance of at least 2,000 people, is still relatively new. While there have always been places of worship with huge memberships, the earliest groups that may be considered megachurches didn’t exist until the middle of the 19th century. Even still, these gigantic churches remained outliers and exceptions for more than a century. The concept of megachurches emerged in the middle of the 20th century; almost all of the congregations that are currently categorised as megachurches were founded after 1955. However, it wasn’t until the 1980s that these large places of worship really took off. Since then, both the number of megachurches and the size of their typical congregation have grown yearly in the United States. Numerous people believe that megachurches are beneficial for both those seeking spiritual connection and the communities they serve. Megachurches draw people together by transforming worship into an exhilarating, magnificent event. But as the phenomenon has become more well-known, issues have emerged. Any significant movement or organisation will inevitably have drawbacks, but given the “mega” in megachurch, these drawbacks can often be rather significant.

Rhonda Byrne's Film, "The Secret" popularised the "Law of Attraction" greatly, and has allowed this philosophy/belief to permeate in the mainstream for a very long time.

But the history that lies behind "The Secret" is one that has its roots all the way back to the 1800s, where the New Thought Movement began taking strides, as well as other New Age beliefs.

In this video, we take a dive into that history, and the sinister industry that his been built up around it. We'll take a look at some of the most influential figures in New Thought throughout the past, to present day. Figures like Napoleon Hill (author of "Think and Grow Rich", and "The Law of Success"), Esther/Abraham Hicks (Author of "The Law of Attraction" and various other works), Bob Proctor, Rhonda Byrne, and others.

We will also identify just how New Age Spirituality has allowed itself to become a perfect grift, for gurus with questionable intentions to enter the space and take advantage of those in a more vulnerable and desperate situation. Those who are in desperate need of wealth, those who are in desperate need for relationships, health, happiness, etc etc.

New Age/New Thought exists in many areas of the self-help industry too, and although hard to initially spot, once someone familiarises themselves with the teachings of New Thought and the overall philosophy it isn't hard to begin seeing the patterns.

We will also explore the connections between New Age gurus and Multi Level Marketing companies. A connection that seems very prevalent within many of the big figures in this industry.

This is footage of the Celebi Time Travel event that happened all the way back in 2011 (over 11 years ago as of posting this video) but now in much clearer and cleaner quality.

While a bit random, there are a few reasons why I'm uploading this event:

1: I was able to do this fight again for the first time in 11 years. I didn't think there would be away to do so but thanks to Pokemon Fan Community getting legit event Pokemon from Wifi is now possible and pretty easy to do.

2: I'm not too sure how many videos of this fight exist in clean capture board quality. This is an event that happened over 11 years ago. 11 years ago DS capture boards were either not invented yet or if they were only a HANDFUL of people had them. Plus you can only do this fight once per save file too. That limits even more people who could see or even record it in good quality.

3: One of my first videos I uploaded to this channel (which is still unlisted and will never be public again, sorry) was me recording this fight on a camera. I knew that this wasn't something everyone was not going to see and I wanted to preserve that moment. So the fact that I got another chance at it made it clear to me that I SHOULD record it for personal reasons as well.

Also my rival's name is weird cause when I restarted this file I thought it was really funny that you could name him stupid shit like that. Sorry if that kills the mood of the scene. Not much I can do about that unless I started a whole new game which I don't feel like doing.
